Rays Call Up 2 Players

The Tampa Bay Rays have called up Jonathan Aranda and Luke Raley to their major league roster.

Aranda is set to make his major league debut, so all eyes will naturally be on him. In 63 games this season with Triple-A Durham, the 24-year-old has 11 home runs, 40 RBIs, and a .310 batting average. With numbers like these, it's fair to say that he has earned this call-up.

Raley, on the other hand, has some MLB experience on his resume. He spent the 2021 season with the Dodgers and appeared in 33 games. During them, he had two home runs, four RBIs, and a .182 batting average. With the Rays losing outfielders Manuel Margot and Kevin Kiermaier to the injured list, it opened the door for Raley to get this call-up.
