Guardians Pitcher Sent Down To Triple-A

The Cleveland Guardians have optioned Nick Sandlin to Triple-A Columbus.

This move may come as a little surprising, as Sandlin has quietly had a solid year for the Guardians. In 19 games for the team, he has a 4-2 record to go along with a 2.89 ERA. Overall, those are pretty good numbers, but he will still be heading back to Triple-A from here.

Sandlin will be hoping to impress with Columbus, as it of course will help his chances of getting called up again later this season. We will have to wait and see what happens with him from here.
