Giants Reliever Placed On Injured List

The San Francisco Giants have placed Jose Alvarez on the 15-day injured list because of a lower back injury.

The 2022 season hasn't treated Alvarez too kindly, and this injury only heightens that. In 21 games on the year thus far, he has a 2-1 record but a rather high 5.28 ERA. Throughout his career, he has been known for his reliability, so this certainly can be classified as a rough campaign. However, once he is healthy, he will try to rebound.

Here's to hoping that Alvarez's injury isn't too serious and that he will be able to return as soon as this stint on the 15-day IL passes.
