Dodgers And Tigers Complete Trade

The Los Angeles Dodgers have acquired Trayce Thompson from the Detroit Tigers in exchange for cash.

This is a reunion between the Dodgers and Thompson, as he spent the 2016 and 2017 seasons with the team. At this juncture, a call-up is not definite, but we will have to wait and see if the 31-year-old can make their major league roster.

In six games this season with the San Diego Padres, Thompson had just one hit in 14 at-bats before being released. With the Tigers, he did not get into major league action, so he is probably happy with this move. Let's see if he gets the chance to build on his 223-game career with the Dodgers.
