Tigers Re-Sign Pitcher

Last week, Drew Hutchison elected to become a free agent and leave the Detroit Tigers. Now, the 31-year-old has had a change of heart, as he has inked a minor league deal with the club.

With this signing, it appears likely that the Tigers will eventually call up Hutchison to their major league roster. Detroit is dealing with numerous injuries to their pitching, so perhaps that is why the two parties have decided to give it another shot with each other.

In 10 games this season with the Tigers, Hutchison has a 0-3 record and 4.60 ERA. With that, he comes with a lot of overall experience, as he has appeared in 117 career games between the Blue Jays, Pirates, Phillies, Rangers, and of course, Tigers. With that, he has a 35-27 record and 4.96 ERA.
