MLB Rumors: Diamondbacks Looking To Make Specific Upgrades

With the lockout finally over, teams will be rushing to make changes to their roster before the start of the regular season. When it comes to the Arizona Diamondbacks specifically, they will be targeting bullpen and offense help, according to team president Derrick Hall.

The Diamondbacks had themselves another very disappointing season, as they finished the campaign with a 52-110 record. With a record like that, it is understandable that they also finished last in the NL West and by a large margin with that. However, the new season will offer them a clean slate, and they will be looking to take a step forward during it.

The Diamondbacks already made a nice addition to their bullpen before the lockout, as they signed Mark Melancon to a two-year deal. The veteran just appeared in his fourth All-Star Game because of his impressive 2021 season with the San Diego Padres, but Arizona will not be stopping there.

When it comes to offense, there are still some very good players available. Even if they are unable to land a big-name player, they are other cheaper options who could provide them with a bit more pop this go-around.
