3 Interesting Names Who Could Be Non-Tendered Before Deadline

The MLB's non-tender deadline is Tuesday night at 8pm, and there's going to be a bunch of players who get cut around baseball. Some names are certainly more appealing than others, and once some veterans get let go by their current team, expect to see some sign elsewhere for next season.

3 Players Who Could Be Cut on Tuesday

Cody Bellinger, LA Dodgers

Bellinger struggled last season and is projected to make $16.1 million next season via arbitration. He's expected to be cut by the Dodgers on Tuesday and will certainly have a long list of suitors from both leagues inquiring about his services. The Dodgers would be making a mistake letting Bellinger go as they have already lost a couple of key pieces to their offense from last season. Last season the 1B/OF appeared in 95 games and hit 10 HR and 36 RBI. Was a year to forget for Bellinger, that's for sure.

Adam Duvall, Atlanta Braves

This is an interesting case as the Braves have a history with Duvall, non-tendering him before last season. Atlanta then went out and acquired Duvall in a trade and he had a great showing his second time around for the team. He hit 38 HR and drove in 113 runs. His projected salary is $9.1 million, we'll be curious to see what the World Series champs decide to do this time around after walking away from roughly $4 million a season ago.

Gary Sanchez, New York Yankees

The Yankees catcher hit 23 HR and knocked in 54 runs, in 117 games last season. He's slowed down as of late after looking like he was going to be an all-time talent in New York. The catching market is thin, so there's certainly a chance the Yankees hold on to their back stop. While he would be a hot commodity on the free agent market, it's hard to say at this point what the Yankees are thinking about Sanchez' future in the Bronx.
