Yankees Torres Admits Position Switch is Not Working Out

It's not easy changing positions in baseball and New York Yankees Gleyber Torres is finding out the hard way. Torres opened up about the move back to second base from short stop and it's rather obvious to tell things have been a grind.

Torres was moved by Yanks manager Aaron Boone after he made his 18th error of the season. The talented infielder met with the media before Tuesday's game against the Baltimore Orioles and had this to say:

Everything for the team. I didn’t really do a good job at short. I made too many errors and I feel the way we are right now we can’t make any errors. So, I feel really good to move to second and I just want to be part of the team. The way I played the first two years of my career, I played second and made two All-Star games. Whatever they need. If I have to move back to short next season, I’ll be available. If not, I’ll stay at second and do my thing like the last couple of years

Torres went on to confirm he doesn't care where he ends up next season, he just wants to play good baseball for the Yankees. We'll see how things unfold the rest of this season in New York for Torres and if the struggles continue anything is possible, and another position switch could be on the way.
