MLB Rumors: Minnesota Twins Have 2 Prime Trade Candidates

Byron Buxton, Twins

The Minnesota Twins are having a tough start to the 2026 season, as evidenced by their 13-18 record. They have also been trending in the wrong direction as of late, losing eight out of their last 10 games. Due to this, it would not be surprising if we saw the Twins end up being sellers this season.

Because of this, let's look at two Twins who have the potential to be traded this campaign.

Byron Buxton

Buxton has been in the rumor mill for quite some time, and he will be a player to watch leading up to the deadline because of it. He should generate plenty of interest from contenders looking to boost their outfield. In 27 games this season for Minnesota, he has seven home runs, 10 RBIs, and a .237 batting average. This is after he had 35 home runs, 83 RBIs, and a .264 batting average in 126 games last season.

Joe Ryan

Ryan is another notable Twin who could be on the move this season. The All-Star pitcher was a popular name in the rumor mill this offseason, and it has carried over to this season. Teams looking for help in the front half of their rotation should be kicking tires on Ryan. In seven starts this season, he has a 2-3 record, a 3.76 ERA, and 39 strikeouts.
