MLB Rumors: 2 San Francisco Giants Named Top Trade Candidates
The San Francisco Giants have had a rough start to the 2026 season, and that is made apparent by their 9-13 record. If they do not heat up and climb up the standings soon, there is a good chance that they will be sellers at the 2026 MLB trade deadline.
Due to this, two of their players are already creating chatter in the rumor mill as prime trade candidates to watch.
In a recent article for ESPN, David Schoenfield named Robby Ray and Luis Arraez as the Giants' top trade candidates if they opt to be sellers this offseason.
If Ray is made available for trade this season by the Giants, there is no question that he would generate interest from contenders. The 34-year-old pitcher is coming off an All-Star season and has had a strong start to this campaign as well. In five games so far, the former Cy Young Award winner has a 2.86 ERA and 31 strikeouts.
As for Arraez, he also would have the potential to be a popular target for contenders. The 5-foot-10 infielder has a .305 batting average in 21 games and is showing that he can still make a real impact with his contact hitting. Thus, expect the three-time All-Star and Batting Title winner to be a hot commodity if the Giants decide to shop him this campaign.
