Dodgers Sign Southpaw Pitcher After 2025 Season in Korea

Team Canada pitcher Logan Allen pitches during World Baseball Classic game in 2026.

The Los Angeles Dodgers made a quiet move following the World Baseball Classic, signing left-hander Logan Allen to a minor-league deal.

Dodgers add Logan Allen for pitching depth

Allen, 28, earned this opportunity after a solid showing with Team Canada at the World Baseball Classic, where he posted a 2.70 ERA over two appearances.

He even recorded the final out in a tight game against Panama and followed it up with multiple strong innings against Puerto Rico.

Before that, Allen spent the 2025 season overseas with the NC Dinos in the KBO, logging a heavy workload with 173 innings across 32 appearances.

He finished with a 4.53 ERA and 149 strikeouts across an impressive 173 innings and 31 starts.

His expected metrics were slightly better, indicating his performance wasn’t necessarily heavily influenced by poor defense or bad luck.

Logan Allen gets fresh opportunity with Dodgers

Allen has spent time with multiple organizations, including the San Diego Padres, Cleveland Guardians, Baltimore Orioles, and Arizona Diamondbacks, compiling a 5.79 ERA over parts of five MLB seasons.

He's struggled to lock down a permanent role, appearing in just 124.1 innings and 45 appearances across five seasons.

The Dodgers will likely start him at Triple-A Oklahoma City, where he can either serve as rotation depth or transition into a bullpen role, depending on team needs.
