Breaking Trade: Ace Freddy Peralta Dealt by Brewers
The Milwaukee Brewers have done their Milwaukee Brewers thing again.. Trading their ace Freddy Peralta one year before he hits free agency. And the New York Mets continue to blow up the baseball Hot Stove, by landing the outstanding starter.

The Mets send two top 5 prospects in Jett Williams and promising young pitcher Brandon Sproat to Milwaukee in return.

Peralta won 17 games with a 2.70 ERA in 2025. Over the last five years, he has been one of the best starters in baseball, with a 3.30 ERA and 1.09 WHIP, while making at least 30 starts and striking outg at least 200 in three straight seasons.
Over the last few days, the Mets have also signed free agent Bo Bichette and traded for one-time elite prospect Luis Robert Jr. They’re wrapping up their offseason with a bang.
