In a move that should surprise absolutely no one, the decision on the Kyle Tucker Free Agent Sweepstakes goes to... the Los Angeles Dodgers.

The Dodgers came swooping in at the 11th hour, as many suggested they might, and used this week's New York Mets' offer to Tucker against them, adding an extra $40M to make it a 4-year, $240 million contract — an insane $60 million per season.
The Blue Jays were also in the mix with their long-term offer of nine or ten years. But they come up as bridesmaids once again, like with Juan Soto last year and Shohei Ohtani the year before that.
In the end, Tucker chose the two-time defending World Series champions. He can re-enter the free agent market in a few years at the age of 31 or 32 and likely add another nine-figure contract to his bank account.
More to come...
