Two Los Angeles Angels Pitchers Elect Free Agency

Los Angeles Angels pitcher Connor Brogdon throws a pitch during 2025 game.

The Los Angeles Angels will head into the offseason with two more bullpen openings after Carson Fulmer and Connor Brogdon elected free agency.

Both right-handers cleared waivers first, then chose the open market rather than accept Triple-A assignments.

What Fulmer and Brogdon take to market
Fulmer, 31, logged a 5.83 ERA over 29.1 innings across 13 appearances this season. The former first-rounder has 127 MLB games on his ledger and remains a depth target for clubs that value experience and swing-and-miss potential in short bursts.

Brogdon, 30, posted a 5.55 ERA in 47 innings over 43 outings. Since debuting in 2020, he has 186 big-league appearances and a track record of handling middle relief.

Both should draw minor-league deals with spring invites, and a 40-man flier is not out of the question if a club likes the fit.

Los Angeles has cycled through arms the last two seasons and is now primed to retool under a revamped staff.
