Breaking: Bruce Bochy & Texas Rangers Make Big Decision

Bruce Bochy is out as Texas Rangers manager

After Bob Melvin was fired by the San Francisco Giants earlier on Monday, news has now broken that future Hall of Fame manager, and former legendary Giants s,kipper Bruce Bochy, is out as the Texas Rangers field boss.

Bochy came out of a four-year retirement to join the Rangers in 2023, and led the team to its first World Series championship that year. After two more seasons of struggling to hover around the .500 mark, the two sides have agreed to part ways.

Overall, Bochy had a 249-237 record at the helm of the Rangers, a .512 winning percentage. But he will forever be remembered as the man who got them to the promised land for the first time.

That was Bochy's 4th World Series title, after having led the Giants to three of them in the last decade, in 2010, 2012 and 2014. Will his old team now reach into the past and try to bring Bochy back for another run? His legendary catcher on those three championship teams, Buster Posey, is now the president of baseball operations in San Francisco, so a reunion could certainly be in the cards.
