Breaking: Blue Jays Make Huge Decision with Anthony Santander
We've all heard the bombshell news by now about Alek Manoah. But what was the catalyst that triggered it on Tuesday? The Jays have made another huge decision by activating slugger Anthony Santander after nearly four months; he will be active for Tuesday night's game against the Boston Red Sox.

Santander was reinstated off the 60-day IL where he's been since the end of May, due to a shoulder injury.
The outfielder was one of Toronto's big free agent signings last winter, with a $92.5 million contract handed to the former Baltimore Orioles power bat, following a 44-home run season last year. But it turned out to be a disastrous signing by GM Ross Atkins, as Santander slashed just .179/.273/.304 with only six homers in 50 games before going down for 106 games.
He is not in the starting lineup for the Jays as they head into a crucial three-game set with the Red Sox, with Toronto holding a two-game lead on the New York Yankees for first place in the AL East, with six to play.
George Springer is back in the DH spot for Tuesday night, while Daulton Varsho, Nathan Lukes and Davis Schneider man the outfield. We'll have to keep an eye out to see how the Jays intend to use Santander down the stretch, with the possibility of a playoff roster spot in question.
