MLB Trade Rumors: Orioles Listening To Offers on Two Big-Name Players

Baltimore Orioles pitcher Felix Bautista celebrates after 2025 game.

The Baltimore Orioles are listening to trade offers on Felix Bautista and Trevor Rogers, per multiple reports from The Athletic, SNY, and other outlets.

Orioles Open to Offers on Bautista and Rogers, but Not in a Rush

While a deal involving either player remains unlikely, the front office hasn’t closed the door on a potential blockbuster if a team comes forward with an overwhelming offer. Both pitchers are under team control beyond 2025, and the Orioles reportedly prefer to prioritize trades involving their many impending free agents.

Rogers has seen his trade value rebound after a tough start to his Orioles tenure, with a sparkling 1.53 ERA in six starts since a late-May call-up. Still, advanced metrics suggest regression could be on the horizon.

He’s only under contract through 2026, and while the Orioles badly need rotation stability, they could capitalize on a thin market and flip Rogers for younger, more controllable talent, especially with several starters hitting free agency this winter.

Bautista, meanwhile, has two more years of arbitration and is back to form after Tommy John surgery. He owns a 2.41 ERA and 18 saves, and while his strikeout rate is down from 2023 levels, recent trends suggest he’s regaining elite form.

The 30-year-old’s low salary and club control make him a valuable trade chip, particularly for contenders like the Philadelphia Phillies who are desperate for bullpen help. But given Baltimore’s hopes of competing again in 2026, moving Bautista would take a serious haul, and might be more fantasy than reality.
