San Diego Padres Reveal The Future Of Their Manager

The San Diego Padres made a late playoff push in 2023, but came up short after yet another disappointing campaign, and now, with a loaded roster and a bloated payroll, they head into the winter with plenty of work to do.

One early question they will have to answer revolves around their manager Bob Melvin, and speaking on Wednesday with reporters, A.J. Preller, the Padres President of Baseball Operations confirms that Melvin will indeed be back as the Manager in 2024.

In two years with the Padres, Melvin has put together a 171-153 record, taking his career mark as a Manager to 1517-1425, but with little playoff success on his resume, it's a big risk for the Padres to keep him around, so we will have to wait and see how this plays out.
