Arizona Diamondbacks Sign Pitcher After Two Strong Seasons With Padres

Nabil Crismatt, the 28-year-old right-handed pitcher, has rekindled his association with the Arizona Diamondbacks through a minor league contract, showcasing his rapid return after a recent release by the team.

Crismatt, primarily a reliever, had a brief stint with the San Diego Padres this year before his release in late June.

His path has taken a twist as he transitioned to starting pitching in the minors, though struggled, leading to an ERA exceeding 7.00.

Despite his recent difficulties, the 28-year-old has been strong for the Padres in previous seasons, boasting a combined 3.39 ERA, with 136 strikeouts across 148.2 innings and 95 appearances over the past two years.

The Diamondbacks' decision to offer Crismatt another chance is evident in his swift re-signing, showcasing the organization's commitment to player development.
