Oakland Athletics Place Young Outfielder On Injured List

There's no way to sugar coat just how bad the Oakland Athletics have been thus far in 2023, and with so much surrounding the organization, it's been great to see some of their young players stepping up and making an impact, with none more impactful than young Esteury Ruiz.

The 24-year old centerfielder has been electric for Oakland thus far in just his second MLB season (first with the team), but unfortunately, he will now officially head to the Injured List after suffering a shoulder injury in recent days.

While not much has gone right for Oakland, Ruiz has been a bright spot, hitting .257 in 85 games while driving in 35 RBI's, as well as stealing 43 bases, with the team hoping he can be back soon as they look to build on a promising young core.
