Chicago White Sox Rumors: Reliever Becoming Trade Candidate

The Chicago White Sox are gearing up to sellers at the trade deadline. According to Jon Morosi, one player who is starting to emerge as a trade candidate is Aaron Bummer.

There is no question that contenders around the league are looking to add southpaws to their bullpen, so it makes sense that Bummer is starting to get some attention. He is also under team control until 2026, so he would be much more than a rental, thus adding to his overall value.

Bummer has struggled a bit this season, as his 6.82 ERA in 39 appearances displays. However, he has also shown throughout his career that he is a reliable reliever when performing at his best. For example, just last season, he posted a 2.36 ERA in 32 appearances.

It will be interesting to see if the White Sox end up moving Bummer before the deadline, but expect several teams to express interest in him before it passes.
