San Francisco Giants Place Promising Young Infielder On Injured List

The San Francisco Giants may have made some big misses this past off-season, but on the field, despite their slow start, they've managed to turn it around in a big way, and a big reason for that has been their youth infusion, with middle infielder Thairo Estrada blossoming into an elite second baseman right before our eyes.

Unfortunately for the red-hot Giants, who have won 8 of their last 10 games, they have now placed Estrada on the 10-day Injured List with a left wrist sprain, with young David Villar being recalled to the MLB to take his spot.

After a promising 2022 campaign, Estrada has been fantastic this year, posting a .301 average with 6 Home Runs and 17 RBI in 47 games, and with a promising future, the Giants will be looking to get him back soon as he cements his place as the permanent second baseman going forward.
