Boston Red Sox Rumors: Rockies All-Star On Team's Radar

The Boston Red Sox have proven a lot of people wrong this season, as they sport a solid 18-14 record and are right in the mix of the wild card standings in the American League East. As a result, there are rumblings that they are looking to add to their roster, and C.J. Cron is on their radar because of it.

The Red Sox could use a bit more power in their lineup, and Cron would provide them with just that. After all, the 33-year-old is coming off of a 29-home run season and currently has six home runs in 27 games this season. As a result, he could be exactly the kind of trade target the Red Sox need right now.

The Rockies have made it known that they are willing to listen to offers for Cron, so we will need to wait and see if the Red Sox are the lucky club that ends up landing him. However, when noting that he is an All-Star who is a massive power threat, there will be several other teams competing for a playoff spot interested in him, too.
