Texas Rangers Rumors: 3 Early-Season Trade Candidates

Welcome to Baseball Rumors' Early-Season Trade Candidates series. During it, we will be looking at three players who are already emerging as trade candidates during the beginning portion of the campaign.

In this latest installment of the series, we will be looking at the Texas Rangers.

Jose Leclerc: Jose Leclerc was in the rumor mill leading up to the regular season, but the Rangers opted to hold onto him for Opening Day. However, when noting that they were at least open to trading him, it seems possible that they could move him for the right price before the deadline passes.

Ezequiel Duran: Like Leclerc, Ezequiel Duran was in the rumor mill during the offseason. It ultimately makes sense, as the Rangers' strong infield is making it hard for him to be a regular in their lineup. With that, Josh Jung is ahead of him on the depth chart at third base, so look for the Rangers to move Duran to help improve their roster elsewhere.

Bubba Thompson: Bubba Thompson is emerging as a possible trade candidate for the Rangers as well. The 24-year-old has plenty of potential, and they could use him to land a player that will make them better immediately.
