The San Diego Padres have released the following players: 

• RHP Brenden Heiss

For his minor-league career, the 25-year-old holds a 7.36 ERA, 2.10 WHIP, with 27 strikeouts across 25.2 innings and 23 appearances.

He's a former 31st-round pick by the Chicago Cubs in the 2016 MLB Draft.
