Philadelphia Phillies Rumors: 3 Early-Season Trade Candidates

Welcome to Baseball Rumors' Early-Season Trade Candidates series. During it, we will be looking at three players who are already emerging as trade candidates during the beginning portion of the
campaign.

In this latest piece, we will be looking at the Philadelphia Phillies. After an 0-4 start to the season, changes could be on the way if they do not turn things around quickly.

Johan Rojas: The Phillies are aiming to be contenders this season, and they could look to move a notable prospect like Johan Rojas because of it. There is no question that he could be a piece that helps land them a player who will make them better in the present, so don't be surprised if he finds a new home before the deadline passes.

Alex McFarlane: Alex McFarlane is another prospect who could be on the move before the deadline passes. When noting that the Phillies have other right-handed pitchers in their system like Andrew Painter, Mick Abel, and Griff McGarry, they can afford to move McFarlane if they land a high-impact player for the present.

Josh Harrison: If the Phillies find themselves out of the playoff race by the deadline, veteran infielder Josh Harrison will likely be on the move. He is signed to a one-year deal at $2 million, so he would be a prime rental candidate for teams looking to improve their infield depth.
