Minnesota Twins Sign Right-Handed Starter

Headed to Minnesota.

The Minnesota Twins have signed right-handed pitcher Charlie Neuweiler to a minor-league contract.

Neuwiler has spent his whole career with the Kansas City Royals' organization after the team drafted him in the fifth-round of the 2017 MLB Draft.

Last season, split between three minor-league levels, the 24-year-old recorded a 5.40 ERA, 1.57 WHIP, and 85 strikeouts over 98.1 innings and 28 appearances (17 starts).

He has yet to make his major-league debut.

For his career, Neuweiler holds a 4.56 ERA, 1.39 WHIP, with 384 strikeouts over 410.2 innings and 95 appearances (76 starts).
