Atlanta Braves Make Roster Moves

The Atlanta Braves have made some changes to their roster. Danny Young has been called up to their major league squad, while Seth Elledge has been designated for assignment.

Young appeared in his first three MLB games last season split between the Seattle Mariners and Braves. During those appearances, he put together a 0-0 record to go along with a 4.26 ERA. Overall, the sample size was simply too small for any real judgment, but now he will be hoping to make a bigger impact for the Braves during this latest call-up. If he does, it could open the door for him to secure a permanent spot in their bullpen moving forward.

Elledge, on the other hand, was on the Braves' 40-man roster but has not made a single appearance for them. He comes with 23 games of major league experience, all with the St. Louis Cardinals. Over his two-year career, he has a 1-0 record and a 4.63 ERA. He has not, however, made an MLB appearance since 2021.

Teams looking for pitching depth could look to acquire Elledge or claim him off of waivers. We will need to wait and see what happens with the 6-foot-3 right-hander from here.
