Milwaukee Brewers Rumors: Ace Linked to New York Yankees

Corbin Burnes has emerged as a major trade target after he told reporters that his relationship with the Milwaukee Brewers is "definitely hurt" by their arbitration hearing. As a result, teams have been calling the Brewers about their ace, and the New York Yankees are reportedly one of them.

The Yankees have never been shy about making a blockbuster trade, so it makes sense that Burnes is on their radar. After all, they have World Series expectations, and adding an elite pitcher like Burnes to their already-strong rotation would help their chances of making this come to fruition.

Burnes is coming off of another strong season that saw him sport a 12-8 record to go along with a 2.94 ERA. As a result of his very good season, he was named to his second-straight All-Star Game.

We will now need to wait and see if the Yankees' interest in Burnes leads to them landing him before the start of the season from here. If not, don't be surprised if they call again before the deadline.
