Los Angeles Angels Rumors: Veteran Pitcher Being Shopped

The Los Angeles Angels are hoping to turn things around in 2023, but that certainly is not a guarantee given their immense struggles last season. As a result, there have been rumblings that they are listening to offers for veteran reliever Aaron Loup.

Loup has a 2024 club option, so it makes sense that the Angels are considering the idea of moving him. If the Angels continue to struggle this year, it just would not make sense for them to keep Loup around. After all, he is a veteran who would likely much rather play for a contender and compete for a World Series ring.

With Loup being a reliable reliever, there should be several playoff teams looking to add him. Although this is a trade that will likely occur during the regular season rather than before it, we will need to keep a close on it from here.

In 65 appearances last season, Loup had a 0-5 record and a 3.84 ERA.
