Kansas City Royals: 2 Trade Candidates Heading to Opening Day

The Kansas City Royals are expected to be among the teams at the bottom of the MLB standings this season. As a result, they are reportedly open for business and are willing to hear offers for two of their veterans. Let's discuss them now.

Salvador Perez: Salvador Perez has been a Royal for the entirety of his 11-year career, but things could change on that front. With several teams needing help at the catcher position, the Royals have been receiving interest for Perez. If a team ends them a big enough offer, don't be surprised to see the seven-time All-Star moved - whether that is before Opening Day or during the year.

Nicky Lopez: Nicky Lopez has been discussed in trade talks, but at the time of this writing, he is still a Royal. The Chicago White Sox are a specific team that made a major push for Lopez this offseason, so it seems that they could again before the regular season begins. Other clubs like the Boston Red Sox, Los Angeles Dodgers, and Colorado Rockies also could make a push for him.
