Chicago White Sox: 2 Breakout Candidates for 2023

The Chicago White Sox are looking to get things back on track this season after a disastrous 2022 campaign. For that to occur, they will be hoping that two of their younger players will have breakout seasons for them in 2023. Let's discuss them now.

Andrew Vaughn: The 2023 season is a big one for Andrew Vaughn. He is set to have a notable role for the White Sox, as they lost first baseman Jose Abreu through free agency. As a result, Vaughn will be an everyday player, and this could be the boost he needs to find more consistency at the major league level. He has the potential to be a star, so look for this season to be his breakout campaign.

Lenyn Sosa: Lenyn Sosa is a player to watch in 2023 as well. The 23-year-old shortstop struggled last season with Chicago, as he had a .114 batting average in 11 games played. However, when noting that he also had 23 home runs and a .315 batting average in the minors last year, it is clear that he has the potential to be a high-impact player in the majors. Let's see if some of this success at the plate translates to the majors this year.
