Baltimore Orioles Rumors: Oakland A's Pitcher On Team's Radar

It is not a secret that the Baltimore Orioles are looking to improve their starting rotation. Due to this, they are reportedly one of the handful of teams taking a look at Oakland A's starter Paul Blackburn.

With the A's in a complete rebuild, Blackburn's name has emerged in the rumor mill. This is not particularly surprising, as he is coming off of the first All-Star campaign of his career, and his trade value is higher because of it. Due to this, the A's are likely at least considering the possibility of moving him for a few prospects. After years of struggling, the Orioles have plenty of those.

Blackburn would be a fine addition to the first half of Baltimore's rotation, so this is an avenue that they should seriously consider. We will need to wait and see if their interest in Blackburn leads to them acquiring - whether that is before Opening Day or at some point during the regular season. On paper, there appears to be a very good match here.
