Arizona Diamondbacks Sign Shortstop

Headed to Arizona.

The Arizona Diamondbacks have signed shortstop Jonathan Guzman to a minor-league contract.

Guzman has spent the last seven seasons in the Philadelphia Phillies minor-league system, slashing .168/.220/.235 last season, with three home runs, 26 RBIs, nine stolen bases and 32 runs scored across 119 games.

He has yet to make his MLB debut.

For his minor-league career, spanning seven seasons, Guzman has compiled a .221/.274/.291 triple-slash line, 16 home runs, 133 RBIs, 78 stolen bases and 203 runs scored over 518 games played.

He gives the D-Backs some added minor-league shortstop depth.
