Arizona Diamondbacks Rumors: Outfielder Being Shopped

The Arizona Diamondbacks are open to making changes to their roster before Opening Day. One specific player who they are shopping is outfielder/first baseman Pavin Smith.

The Diamondbacks' outfield group is looking a bit crowded, so it makes sense that they are open to moving Smith. He possesses some trade value and could help improve their roster elsewhere if moved because of it. This is especially so when noting that he has the potential to improve as he continues to gain more MLB experience.

Smith appeared in 75 games this past season with the Diamondbacks, where he had nine home runs, 33 RBIs, and a .220 batting average. It was a notable step backward from his 11-home run and .267 batting average season in 2021.

Nevertheless, expect teams like the Kansas City Royals, Pittsburgh Pirates, Colorado Rockies, Washington Nationals, and Baltimore Orioles to make a push for him from here.
