Minnesota Twins Sign Starting Pitcher

The Minnesota Twins add another arm.

The Twins have signed pitcher Chad Donato to a minor-league contract.

Donato, a former 11th-round pick by the Houston Astros in the 2016 MLB Draft, has spent the last six seasons in their organization.

This past season, at Triple-A Sugar Land, the twenty-seven-year-old recorded a 5.34 ERA, 1.46 WHIP, and 101 strikeouts over 124.2 innings of work.

For his minor-league career, Donato holds a 4.18 ERA, 1.27 WHIP, with 427 strikeouts across 413 innings. He's made 66 starts, 29 relief appearances and converted five saves.

He'll add some rotation depth for the Twins and will likely begin the season at Triple-A.
