Minnesota Twins Sign Left-Handed Starting Pitcher

The Minnesota Twins have added some left-handed pitching depth.

The Twins have signed pitcher Sean Nolin to a minor-league contract.

Nolin has moved from team to team over the past few seasons. He spent last season with the Kia Tigers of the Korea Baseball Organization, compiling a strong 2.47 ERA, 1.12 WHIP, and 108 strikeouts over 124 innings and 21 starts.

For his major-league career, the thirty-three-year-old owns a lackluster 5.74 ERA, 1.74 WHIP, and 35 strikeouts across 58 innings of work and 12 starts. He's spent time with the Toronto Blue Jays, Washington Nationals and the Oakland Athletics.

Nolin will give the Twins some extra pitching depth at Triple-A St. Paul.

He is a former sixth-round pick by the Toronto Blue Jays in the 2010 MLB Draft
