Minnesota Twins Sign First Baseman


Joining the Minnesota Twins.

The Twins have signed first baseman Dalton Kelly to a minor-league contract.

Kelly signed on with the Oakland Athletics last year and spent the entire season with their Triple-A affiliate, slashing .219/.328/.416, with 15 home runs, 48 RBIs, seven stolen bases and 49 runs scored over 98 games.

The twenty-eight-year-old will function as first base and corner outfield depth for the Twins.

For his minor-league career, Kelly holds a .263/.369/.787 triple-slash line, with 73 home runs, 351 RBIs, 100 stolen bases and 426 runs scored across 734 games played.

He has yet to make his major-league debut.
