Minnesota Twins Bring Back Veteran Pitcher

The Minnesota Twins have re-signed Aaron Sanchez to a minor league contract.

Sanchez split this past season between the Washington Nationals and Twins, where he had a 3-4 record to go along with a 6.60 ERA. Although those statistics do not look too good, it is important to note that he had a 4.71 ERA in eight games with the Twins. Therefore, he was heading in a better direction with the Twins. Keep in mind, he had a disastrous 8.33 ERA with the Nats.

Sanchez will now be aiming to impress at spring training, as it could lead him to getting his contract selected before the start of the season. At a minimum, he will serve as a call-up option for the Twins and help mentor some of their prospects. In 174 career games, Sanchez has a 38-38 record and 4.16 ERA. With that, he was an All-Star back in 2016.
