Los Angeles Dodgers Sign Veteran Pitcher

Matt Andriese is making a return to North America, as he has signed a minor league contract with the Los Angeles Dodgers.

Andriese spent this past season with the Yomiuri Giants, where he sported a strong 2.03 ERA. After performing well in the NPB, it makes sense that a major league team is now willing to take a chance on him. However, for him to make the Dodgers' 40-man roster, he will first need to impress at spring training and have his contract selected.

Andriese comes with plenty of experience, as he has 217 MLB games on his resume. During them, he put together a 28-37 record to go along with a 4.63 ERA. Let's see if he gets the opportunity to build on these career stats with the Dodgers in 2023.
