Los Angeles Dodgers Place Three Pitchers On 60-Day IL

The Los Angeles Dodgers are placing three pitchers on the 60-day injured list.

The Dodgers have placed Walker Buehler, Blake Treinen and J.P. Feyereisen on the 60-day injured list.

None of these really come as a surprise.

Buehler underwent Tommy John surgery late in the 2022 season and is expected to miss most, if not all, of the upcoming season.

Treinen could also miss the entire 2023 season after undergoing surgery to repair the labrum and torn rotator cuff in his right shoulder back in November. He was given a 10-month timeline to return, which would put him at September for the earliest possibility.

Feyereisen was acquired from the Tampa Bay Rays in December in a trade that saw the Dodgers send back minor-league pitcher Jeff Belge.

However, he also underwent a similar surgery to that of Treinen, and is looking at an August return as his best-case scenario.

The thirty-year-old holds a pristine 1.90 ERA, 1.00 WHIP, with 78 strikeouts across 80.1 innings of work over the last two seasons.

These three moves by the Dodgers allowed them to create space on their roster for their free-agent signings of David Peralta, Alex Reyes and Jimmy Nelson.
