Eight-Year Veteran To Host Workout For Interested Teams

According to Darren Wolfson of Channel 5 St. Paul, eight-year veteran Miguel Sano will host a workout for interested teams in Tampa Bay on Tuesday.

Sano entered free agency after he was cut loose by the Minnesota Twins in November when they declined his $14 million club option for the 2023 season.

The twenty-nine-year-old managed just 71 plate appearances last season due to a lingering knee issue. He wound up slashing a poor .083/.211/.133, with one home run, three RBIs, one stolen base and one run scored over 20 games.

Sano has posted a an OPS of at least .750 in three straight seasons prior, however, so if he can prove he's healthy, he could land a deal with a team.

For his career, spanning eight seasons with the Minnesota Twins, Sano holds a .234/.326/.482 triple-slash line, with 162 home runs, 418 RBIs, five stolen bases and 386 runs scored over 694 games.
