Atlanta Braves Rumors: Pitcher Becoming Trade Candidate

The Atlanta Braves are looking to add to their outfield before the start of the regular season, and one way they can do this is via trade. As a result, there are rumblings that they are open to trading Bryce Elder if it can help them upgrade in that area before the 2023 season is underway.

Elder appeared in his first 10 MLB games this season with the Braves, where he had a 2-4 record to go along with a 3.17 ERA. Overall, he performed well in the majors, but the Braves also have a surplus of starters which means his spot on their team is not guaranteed. Thus, it would make sense for them to move Elder if it results in them landing an upgrade elsewhere.

There should certainly be plenty of teams willing to take a chance on the young pitcher from here. Some clubs who stand out as early potential landing spots for him include the Kansas City Royals, Tampa Bay Rays, Washington Nationals, Pittsburgh Pirates, Boston Red Sox, and Arizona Diamondbacks. Alas, we will need to wait and see if he finds a new home before the regular season begins from here.
