Miami Marlins Invite 19-Year Old Top Prospect To Spring Training

He is a fascinating prospect.

The Miami Marlins are inviting starter Eury Perez to spring training.

He is 19-years old.

Perez, the No. 1 ranked prospect in the Marlins organization (9th in MLB), is one of the game's top pitching prospects and recorded a 3.97 ERA, 1.14 WHIP, with a fantastic 110 strikeouts over 77 innings of work last season, almost all of them coming in Double-A.

He probably won't make the team's Opening Day roster, but there's a very good chance the 6-foot-8, 200 lbs pitcher makes his MLB debut sometime this season.

Perez's development will be a very fun one to keep an eye on.
