Houston Astros Release Three Players


The Houston Astros have trimmed their roster slightly, releasing three players.

The Astros have released the following players: 

  • RHP Nomar Torres
Torres has pitched just three innings in the minor-leagues, posting a 9.00 ERA with two strikeouts. He is twenty years old.
  • RHP Chanderson Perez
Perez holds a 5.40 ERA, 1.87 WHIP, and 28 strikeouts over 30 innings in his minor-league career. The twenty-one-year-old has made 22 relief appearances and holds a 3-2 record.
  • OF Brayan Nolasco
Nolasco holds a .152/.280/.479 triple-slash line, with two home runs, 18 RBIs, 20 stolen bases and 34 runs scored over 191 at-bats in the minors. He is nineteen years old.
