Former Milwaukee Brewers Pitcher Elects Free Agency

Testing the free agent market.

Pitcher Trevor Kelley has elected free agency.

Kelley was designated for assignment by the Milwaukee Brewers last week in order to open up a spot for Bryse Wilson. However, Kelley declined the spot at Triple-A Nashville and will instead join free agency.

In 35.1 career innings in the majors, the twenty-nine-year-old holds a poor 7.13 ERA, 1.61 WHIP, and 34 strikeouts. He's spent time with the Boston Red Sox, Philadelphia Phillies and the Brewers.

Kelley is a former 36th-round pick by the Red Sox in the 2015 MLB Draft.
