Chicago White Sox Sign Super-Utility Specialist

An interesting addition by the Chicago White Sox.

The White Sox have signed infielder Hanser Alberto to a minor league contract with an invite to spring training.

Alberto will fight for a spot this spring on the White Sox's Opening Day roster.

The thirty-year-old got into 73 games with the Los Angeles Dodgers last season, recording a .244/.258/.365 triple-slash line, with two home runs, 15 RBIs and 13 runs scored.

Alberto is a super-utility specialist, possessing lots of defensive versatility, which makes him a valuable bench option for Chicago.

Over his seven-year career, Alberto has a solid .272/.294/.380 triple-slash line, with 19 home runs, 121 RBIs, 12 stolen bases and 149 runs scored across 458 games. He's spent time with the Texas Rangers, Baltimore Orioles, Kansas City Royals and the Dodgers.
