Atlanta Braves Sign 6-Foot-7 Relief Pitcher

An intriguing addition by the Atlanta Braves.

The Atlanta Braves have signed pitcher Jake Elliott to a minor league contract.

Elliott has spent the last seven seasons between the Chicago White Sox and the Toronto Blue Jays' minor league systems.

This past season, between the Blue Jays' Double-A and Triple-A affiliates, Elliott recorded a respectable 4.12 ERA, 1.25 WHIP, and 64 strikeouts over 59 innings. He made 40 relief appearances, one start, converted three saves and held a 6-1 record.

The 6-foot-7, 230 pounds reliever will provide the Braves with some added organizational relief depth.

The twenty-seven-year-old is a former 15th-round pick by the White Sox in the 2016 MLB Draft.
