Washington Nationals Sign Infielder

The Washington Nationals have signed Travis Blankenhorn to a minor league contract. 

Blankenhorn appeared in one game for the New York Mets this season, where he went 0-for-3 at the plate. It was not a very eventful year for the 6-foot-2 infielder, but now he will be hoping for more chances in the majors with a weak Nationals team.

Alas, it will be interesting to see if Blankenhorn can impress at Spring Training and earn himself a spot on their major league roster from here.
