Twins Sign Pitcher

Bringing him back.

The Minnesota Twins have re-signed pitcher Matt Mullenbach to a minor league contract.

Mullenbach will return to the Twins after spending the last three seasons in the organization's minor league system.

Across three levels of the minors last season, the twenty-six-year-old registered a strong 2.06 ERA, 1.17 WHIP, and 49 strikeouts over 48 innings. In 32 games, he posted a 4-1 record and converted one save.

Mullenbach is still looking to make his major league debut, but has compiled a strong career ERA of 2.81, 1.30 WHIP and 112 strikeouts across 109 innings in the minor leagues.

He'll continue to function as organizational depth for the Twins until he gets the call to the majors.
